James Corden and Seth Meyers are striking a peace that Conan and Leno could never find.

The host of “The Late Late Show with James Corden” is set to appear on the June 8 episode of “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on NBC. The interview comes just days before Corden is set to host the Tony Awards on CBS on June 12.

While it may seem strange for two men who are timeslot rivals to appear together, Corden says that the two are actually good friends and that Meyers has been very supportive since Corden joined the late-night fray.

“Books have been written about late-night wars, and people talk about what a competitive environment it all is, but I must say it’s been such a relief to join the ranks of such a lovely and welcoming group of hosts,” Corden told Entertainment Weekly in March.

“When it leaked that I would be taking over this show, the first email I got was from Seth Meyers, saying, ‘Oh my God, this is going to be great!’” he continued. Corden also said that the reason he and Meyers bonded so much is because “we support the same soccer team.”

Corden signed on as the new host of “The Late Late Show” on March 23, 2015, recently celebrating his first year on the air with a one-hour primetime special on CBS, which featured a new “Carpool Karaoke” with Jennifer Lopez.

Recently, Corden and his team won two People’s Voice Webby Awards for online video, one for Entertainment Channel and one for Variety Channel. The show also received a Shorty Award, recognizing the show’s social media influence.
