‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 2 Trailer Teases Jane’s Choice Between Michael and Rafael (Video)

Gina Rodriguez-led drama returns to The CW in October

Jane’s choice between Michael and Rafael may come earlier than expected, judging by the trailer for Season 2 of The CW’s “Jane The Virgin.”

“The truth is, I’m in love with…” the titular heroine, played by Gina Rodriguez, is seen saying in the first footage from the new season.

We don’t quite get to hear the end of that sentence, but the shocked reactions of Michael (Brett Dier) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) show something unexpected is about to go down – again.

The trailer also teases fallout from Xo’s (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio’s (Jamie Camill) drunken Vegas wedding from last season, and it appears Jane is getting a good laugh out of it.

There’s no mention of the fate of baby Mateo, the newborn son of Jane and Rafael who was kidnapped in the Season 1 finale, but with everyone seemingly moved onto less dire drama, we can only assume the baby is returned to his parents sooner rather than later.

“Jane The Virgin” returns for Season 2 on Monday, Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
