Ellen DeGeneres celebrated her 2,000th “Ellen” show on Thursday with surprise guests and an awesome honor.
First, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Timberlake — the first two guests in the history of the program — dropped by unannounced to share some time with their favorite daytime talkshow host. DeGeneres — and a super-enthusiastic crowd — had no idea that they were in the building.
After a little playful banter, the duo brought out an even bigger surprise: Warner Bros. TV President Peter Roth joined them all on stage to honor Ellen with a rare token of appreciation. Warner Bros. secretly renamed Stage 1 “The Ellen Stage” in acknowledgement of Degeneres’ landmark 2,000 show. The touching tribute was only the fourth stage dedication in the 90-year Warner Bros. history.
That said, Aniston was quick to quip that she already had one — the famous “Friends” Stage.
