Jennifer Lawrence surprised fellow airplane passengers on a flight on Super Bowl Sunday when she took over the speaker and led a chant to support the Philadelphia Eagles.
“Everybody this is not the pilot speaking. This is Jennifer Lawrence,” the actress said to the full flight. “It’s Feb. 4. It’s Super Bowl Sunday. We all know what that means. Can I please just get a ‘Fly, Eagles Fly?’”
Several people chanted along with the actress, while others looked less-than-thrilled about the impromptu announcement.
“There’s a colonial woman on the plane,” Lawrence said, referencing Kristen Wiig’s hilarious scene from “Bridesmaids.”
However, J-Law’s fun quickly came to an end when a flight attendant became aware of the situation. In 2012’s “Silver Linings Playbook,” Lawrence was considered a good luck charm for the Eagles. Her co-star in the film, Bradley Cooper, attended the game on Sunday, sitting with Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie.
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41 to 33 to win their first Super Bowl. The 52nd Super Bowl took place in Minneapolis.
