Jimmy Kimmel said Doug Jones’ upset win over Roy Moore in the Senate Race in Alabama is “like a grizzly bear losing to a fish” on Wednesday.
“It is kind of depressing that in 2017 not electing a pedophile to the U.S. Senate is something to celebrate,” Kimmel said, referencing the multiple accusations of sexual misconduct against Moore by women who were minors at the time of the alleged incidents.
Kimmel commented on Moore’s refusal to concede the race to Jones: “He said God will decide when it’s over… Well guess what? God decided – It’s over.”
“God went home,” Kimmel continued as he got laughs from the audience. “God’s sitting on his couch watching Netflix right now.”
