The first trailer for Johnny Depp comedy “Mortdecai” made him look like he’s dumb, but the second makes the movie actually look kind of funny.

The latest preview (above) offers up more of the goofy humor audiences should expect, while also revealing more about the characters surrounding Depp, like Gwyneth Paltrow as his controlling wife, Paul Bettany as his man servant/muscle, and Olivia Munn as a “well-known nymphomaniac.”

Ewan McGregor also plays a role as Mortdecai’s government superior, who asks the British art dealer and secret agent to track down a stolen painting. It seems, however, that the hero of the story is also after the painting for himself, since he’s bankrupt.

Lionsgate is releasing “Mortdecai” in theaters on Jan. 23, 2015.
