Jon Stewart Preps for Winter Storm Juno: ‘If You Are Watching This Program, New York Is Gone’ (Video)

“I hope you remember us for our world-class pizza and bridges and not for our tendency to tell people … to go f-ck themselves,” “Daily Show” host jokes

Jon Stewart could not believe he even had a studio audience on Monday night, due to the pending Juno blizzard.

“My guess is, if you are watching this program, New York is gone,” Stewart deadpanned. “I hope you remember us for our world-class pizza and bridges and not for our tendency to tell people who innocently have their eyes lock with our eyes to go fuck themselves.

“I honestly cannot believe these people showed up today,” Stewart praised his studio audience, before taking on the political story of the day.

It was then that Stewart got down to the serious business of making fun of others. The liberal talk show host did what he does best, taking Republicans to task over this past weekend’s Iowa Freedom Summit, which was run by local Congressman Steve King.

Stewart quipped that the conservative rally was in fact one big Fox News correspondent audition — which based on the rolled clips it certainly had the feeling of one. In the process of watching and reacting, “The Daily Show” host destroyed Ted Cruz, Rick Perry and Donald Trump, among others.

Afterwards, the “You betcha” ghost of Sarah Palin haunted the Comedy Central studio, to the equal horror and delight of the comedian.
