Finally, some good news for Josh Duggar.
A lawsuit filed against the disgraced former “19 Kids and Counting” star by porn actress Danica Dillon has been dropped. Moreover, according to an agreement between the parties obtained by TheWrap, Dillon (real name: Ashley Stamm-Northup), admits that Duggar has proof that she’s lying.
“In consideration of the above, Duggar agrees to sign, on or before February 5, 2016, a Rule 41 Stipulation of Dismissal with Prejudice, foregoing his right to move for summary judgment in this matter and attaching exhibits which the parties agree would conclusively prove that Northup’s claims are fabricated,” the agreement signed by both Duggar and Northup reads.
The suit was dismissed with prejudice, meaning that Dillon cannot re-file it.
Documents filed earlier this week indicated that Duggar would only allow the suit to be withdrawn, with prejudice, if Dillon published a statement on her social media accounts that her claims were lies. Dillon resisted, refusing to agree to a retraction and asking permission to withdraw her lawsuit without prejudice.
Dillon filed her suit in November, claiming that Duggar showed up for a performance of hers at a Philadelphia strip club and propositioned her, paying Dillon $1,500 for sex. According to Dillon’s lawsuit, Duggar “manhandled” Dillon and “assaulted her to the point of causing her physical and emotional injuries.
“Indeed, Plaintiff felt as if she were being raped by the Defendant,” Dillon’s lawsuit reads. “This was not part of any agreement and clearly exceeded the scope of any consent by the Plaintiff.”
The lawsuit came during a reputation-crushing year for Duggar. After it was revealed that he had inappropriately touched a number of underage girls, some of whom were his sisters, as a teenager, it was revealed that he was a client of the cheating website Ashley Madison.
