Rolling Stone prefers Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over Donald Trump and isn’t shy about it with a new cover story headlined, “Why can’t he be our president?”

The feature refers to Trudeau as the “North Star” and says he “was raised in jet-set privilege but overcame tragedy to become Canada’s prime minister.”

Reporter Stephen Rodrick asks, “Is he the free world’s best hope?” He seems to feel the answer is yes, according to the cover story.

“He speaks in a modulated, indoor voice. His dark hair is a color found in nature. At home, there is a glamorous wife and three photogenic children, still not old enough to warm his seat at next week’s G-20 summit or be involved in an espionage scandal,” Rodrick wrote, obviously mocking Ivanka Trump for sitting in the president’s chair at the G-20 Summit earlier this month.

The cover story was published shortly after Trump upset million of Americans by tweeting that he plans to ban members of the transgender community from the United States military, making the Rolling Stone cover especially timely.

“The contrasts between here and there are not just superficial. Trump is defunding Planned Parenthood. Trudeau is firmly pro-choice; abortions are provided as part of Canada’s universal health care,” Rodrick wrote. “Justin Trudeau is trying to Make Canada Great Again. He is using, let us say, different methods.”
