A tweet from Ariana Grande led to Kanye West going on a lengthy tweetstorm Saturday morning in which he opened up about his feud with Drake, his own mental health and how Chance the Rapper helped him “reconnect” with his faith.

This all started earlier this week, when West’s on-again-off-again feud with fellow rapper Drake was turned back “on.” Grande appeared to reference the two in a tweet Wednesday night, writing: “guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y’all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that’d be so sick thank u”

West didn’t take to kindly to that, answering back on Saturday morning with, “don’t use me or this moment to promote a song.” Shortly thereafter, Grande responded, writing: “With all due respect, I don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. Period. I was making a comment [about] what men were doing at the time vs. women. It was a joke which I understand now was probably insensitive. I apologize if I was in any way triggering and hope you feel well today.”

West then went on a long tweetstorm regarding his own mental health (he was briefly hospitalized in 2016 after suffering a mental breakdown) and touched on his long-simmering feud with Drake.

“No one would ever choose to end up in a mental hospital and diagnosed with a mental disorder but god chose me to publicly go through this journey and it is beautiful,” Ye wrote. “I am able to experience first hand how people who have mental health issues get written off by society. Don’t listen to him cause he’s crazy. He’s washed cause he’s crazy etc…”

West also said he chose to go off his medication six months ago, and now he “can feel me again.”

“I cannot be on meds and make watch the throne level or dark fantasy level music,” he wrote. “You don’t make runaway on medication Even alcohol is and addictive substance called spirits that actually block our earthly connection to our spirit when we drown ourselves in it.”

Grande’s ex-fiancee, “SNL” regular Pete Davidson, took sides in an Instagram post Saturday… and he chose Yeezy.

“Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health,” Davidson wrote in a post that has since been taken down. “I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted.”
