Katy Perry Hypes Up Fans for Her Pepsi Halftime Show After NFL Confirms Performance (Video)

Pepsi and the NFL began a marketing blitz on Sunday after formerly announcing Perry’s involvement during “Sunday Night Football”

Katy Perry wants her fans to get hyped for her halftime show at Super Bowl XLIX.

The NFL and Pepsi confirmed the “Firework” singer would be headlining the annual musical extravaganza on Sunday night with the release of two videos: One in which she details her plans for the craziest halftime show yet, and a shorter commercial plugging the performance by featuring Perry’s music.

Announcer Bob Costas told television audiences during the Cowboys-Eagles “Sunday Night Football” game that Perry would be performing at the Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on Feb. 1 at the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show, which is the most-watched musical event of the year.

More than 115 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s show.
