Kelly Clarkson knows how to handle body shamers.

The singer received a tweet Tuesday night that simply said “You’re fat.” This was in response to a tweet Clarkson sent out celebrating July 4th and the people who protect America in the armed forces.

Clarkson — who has a history of dealing with people who make comments about her weight — shut the body shamer down in just four words.

Of course, fans loved the simple but effective clapback.

Clarkson has been battling negative comments about her weight for years. After appearing on the “Graham Norton Show,” in 2015, British TV personality Kate Hopkins tweeted about the singer.

“What happened to Kelly Clarkson?” Hopkins wrote. “Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen.”

In an interview with Heat, Clarkson at first didn’t notice that she had been tweeted at. But then she responded when the interviewer explained the Hopkins insults.

“Oh, and she’s tweeted something nasty about me? That’s because she doesn’t know me. I’m awesome! It doesn’t bother me. It’s a free world. Say what you will,” she said. “I’ve just never cared what people think,” she tells us. “It’s more if I’m happy and I’m confident and feeling good, that’s always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family – I don’t seek out any other acceptance.”

Clarkson is gearing up to join the cast of NBC’s “The Voice” as a coach, battling Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. She also says, per her Twitter, that she’ll have a new music video soon.
