Kennedy/Marshall Names Grey Rembert President of Production

Grey Rembert was in charge of acquisitions at Dreamworks and led development at GK Films

The Kennedy/Marshall Company named former GK Films executive Grey Rembert as president of production in the wake of Kathleen Kennedy's departure, the company said on Thursday.

A former acquisitions executive at DreamWorks, Rembert entered the industry 25 years ago after Kennedy hired her at Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment. She later served as a senior vice president of development at GK Films.

But the company shrunk after a series of flops, including Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" and Angelina Jolie's "In the Land of Blood and Honey."

Kennedy left her namesake company in June to co-chair Lucasfilm. Her husband Frank Marshall is now the sole head of the production house, which will release "The Bourne Legacy" on Friday.

The company is also in post-production on "Lincoln," Steven Spielberg's Nov. 10 release with DreamWorks.

Kennedy/Marshall, which recently signed a two-year deal with CBS Television Studios, is also developing a fourth installment to the "Jurassic Park" series.
