Kim Kardashian West’s insurance company is suing her bodyguard and his company for $6.1 million, according to court documents obtained by TheWrap.

Kardashian West was tied up by armed robbers, locked in a bathroom and had more than $10 million worth of jewelry stolen from a Paris hotel two years ago on Oct. 3, 2016, according to police reports.

The lawsuit accuses Pascal Duvier and the company he works for, PROTECTSECURITY, of leaving the insured (Kardashian West) in the hotel “alone without any security detail and/or bodyguard.”

The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, two years to the day after the event took place, cites security breaches, including a broken or missing lock on the front gate of the hotel’s courtyard and a malfunctioning intercom. It says the defendants “failed to address and/or correct these various security breaches.” It goes onto say masked gunman “entered through the unlocked gate of the Hotel; came to open the door separating the courtyard and the concierge’s desk while the concierge was watching them go through such a door made out of security glass, and were permitted entry; moved passed [sic] the concierge, who did not have any security training; and entered the Insured’s hotel room.”

“The masked men restrained the Insured and proceed to rob her of her personal property, including one of a kind jewelry,” the lawsuit went on to state.

The legal filing accuses the defendants of “negligence, carelessness, recklessness, and/or failure to properly protect, secure, monitor, inspect, and survey the Hotel where the Insured was staying at the time of the Robbery, the Insured and Plaintiff, by way of subrogation, suffered personal property damage, as well as forseeable finiancial loss.”

Kardashian West was in Paris staying at a private residence when the burglary took place, police said. A spokesperson said at the time that the reality TV star was “badly shaken but physically unharmed.”

The men were dressed as police officers and wore ski masks, and put a gun to her temple, according to Reuters. Paris police officials told the Associated Press that five assailants stole a jewelry box containing valuables worth between $5.6 and $6.7 million, as well as a ring worth roughly $4.5 million.

Kardashian West later sued MediaTakeOut for reporting that she might have staged her recent robbery in Paris. Observers also initially mocked the incident on Twitter, saying it was some sort of “publicity stunt.” Her rapper husband Kanye West cancelled a concert mid-show, immediately after learning of the incident.
