KISS Turned Down Trump Inauguration Gig, Gene Simmons’ Wife Says (Video)

Band was asked, but will be touring Europe at the time

Count KISS among the musical artists who won’t be playing Donald Trump’s inauguration.

A TMZ cameraman caught up with rocker Gene Simmons and his wife Shannon Tweed last night, when the paparazzi asked the big question point blank: “Hey Gene, you’re the rock & roll Donald Trump — will you play the inauguration?”

“No!” Tweed yelled in response for her hubby a number of times. She literally covered Simmons’ mouth so the “Celebrity Apprentice” alum couldn’t reply personally.

Eventually, Simmons himself got in a few words.

“I think people should get over it and move on,” he said. “He’s our president and that’s it, end of story.”

But, no, Simmons and the face-painted boys won’t be partying that day with the new POTUS: “We’re going to be touring Europe at the same time,” he said.

“That’s not to say they didn’t ask,” Tweed added. “They asked and he politely declined.”

The search continues, we suppose.
