Kristen Bell’s Mary Poppins Quits Her Minimum-Wage Job (Video)

In the new Funny or Die video, Bell skewers the Poppins image by complaining about how much those cartoon birds cost

You think this economy is giving you the squeeze? Just ask Mary Poppins.

The jokesters at Funny or Die imagined how the musical nanny, played by¬†Kristen Bell, would fare in today’s economy. In the new video, Bell’s Poppins quits her job because apparently Mr. Banks is only paying her the minimum wage.

To the tune of the iconic “Just a Spoonful of Sugar,” Bell sings, “Just a three-dollar increase can make a living wage … I don’t get these birds for free.”
