It seems that no matter what Lena Dunham says, it somehow gets picked apart and turned into headlines. Sometimes, that’s warranted; others, not so much.

There was no talk of Woody Allen, no mention of potentially quitting acting, or mea culpas for deleted tweets. Nothing about nudity, either. Nope, this interview was all about unity and things she and the host had in common.

Both, it turns out worked in video stores, which may stump the show’s younger viewers now that Blockbuster has been busted. In any case, that little tidbit led to a conversation about the 1991 Reese Witherspoon movie “Man in the Moon,” which both Dunham and Fallon loved. Then, they began discussing Dunham’s mother’s fantasy matchmaking skills, which entailed the new “Tonight” host and the “Girls” creator getting married.
