Liam Neeson Ominously Reads Children a Bedtime Story on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ (Video)

The “Run All Night” star does not have patience or appreciation for “Five Little Monkeys”

Liam Neeson may be the last voice parents want their kids to hear before drifting off to dreamland, but the “Run All Night” actor gave it a go anyway on Wednesday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Neeson read children’s story “Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed” during his scheduled stop on the ABC late-night series — or at least, he got through about half of it. The nursery rhyme started out innocent, but soon dark music cued, Neeson put on his “Taken” voice, and things became pretty serious.

“This is taking too long,” Neeson said at the three-monkey mark, closing the book. “So I’ll summarize — listen very carefully: All of the monkeys fall off the bed, the doctor is slightly frustrated after having repeatedly instructed their mother to not let them jump on the bed.”

“Besides, why is she calling a doctor and not a vet?” he continued. “This woman is sick and should be committed to a mental institution. The End.”

Sweet dreams kids!

“Run All Night,” which also stars Ed Harris and Joel Kinnaman, explodes into theaters on Friday.
