Lifetime’s ‘Flowers in the Attic’ Extended Trailer Redefines Bromance (Video)

The network releases a revealing look at its adaptation of the V.C. Andrews novel

Lifetime has just released the extended trailer for its remake of “Flowers in the Attic” and it’s everything you wanted from a modern remake of the 1979 novel from V.C. Andrews.

“Mad Men” star Kiernan Shipka stars as Cathy, the story’s narrator and the daughter who undergoes several rude awakenings as she and her siblings are locked away in their grandmother’s (Ellen Burstyn) attic for years.

It’s #poorlittlerichgirl’s problems for the kids’ mother, Corrinne, who allows her children to not only pay for her and their father’s sins, but then repeat them as she goes after a new life with a new man sans-kids.

While this extended trailer certainly shows the grandeur of the family’s home, it gets deeper into the story’s seedy world of religious indignation, abuse and incest.
