Lynne Frank Promoted to New Executive Role in Warner Bros. Marketing

Former international marketing EVP becomes president of international marketing and worldwide planning and operations

Lynne Frank

Lynne Frank has been promoted to president of international marketing and worldwide planning and operations at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Frank, whose previous title was EVP of international marketing, will now oversee the strategic development, campaign planning and execution for all overseas Warner Bros. releases.

The role is a newly created position, which has Frank helping shape overall brand management of the studio’s major film titles and franchises.

The move was announced Wednesday by Sue Kroll, president of worldwide marketing and distribution — to whom Frank will directly report.

Kroll herself just extended her own deal at the studio in an early re-up.

Frank will continue to develop the theatrical-related marketing, business and growth initiatives in China. She will also have operational responsibility for the global theatrical marketing department.

The past few days have been busy inside Warner Bros. Pictures’ marketing executive ranks as it was also announced on Wednesday that Blair Rich will be worldwide marketing president at the studio. She will also report to Kroll.

Frank will work closely with Rich in her new role.

“She understands the global marketplace with a focus and acuity that makes her a crucial part of our senior management team,” Kroll said of Frank in a statement. “We’ve known each other professionally and personally since our days launching businesses together at Turner.”

Among Frank’s achievements at Warner Bros., she led the international marketing campaigns for “The Hobbit” films, “Pacific Rim,” “The Conjuring,” “Interstellar,”  “San Andreas” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
