Untitled Management Being Shopped Around

Reportedly in merger talks with 3 Arts, company also made overtures to other firms, including Mosaic

A report that 3 Arts and Untitled Entertainment are in merger talks was of no surprise to at least one rival-firm manager, who said Untitled has been “shopped” to a number of other management companies of late, including Jimmy Miller’s Mosaic.

“I’m sure they’re talking to 3 Arts right now, too, but I have no idea where they’re at,” the manager told TheWrap. “This (merger) could happen, and it will be very interesting if it does.”

Reps for both 3 Arts and Untitled declined to comment regarding a Deadline.com report on Wednesday stating that the two firms are in discussion.

“We don’t know anything about this so-called merger, so we’re not going to comment,” said a 3 Arts staffer.

Through his assistant, Mosaic’s Miller also declined comment.

Massive cultural integration issues aside, the combination of 3 Arts and Untitled would yield an action-packed client roster.

Run by partners Erwin Stoff, Michael Rotenberg and Howard Klein, 3 Arts touts a client list that includes Aziz Ansari, Carter Bays, Jason Bateman, Sandra Bullock, Louis C.K., Steve Coogan, Greg Daniels, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

The firm is particularly strong on the television production side, enjoying credits on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Louie” and “Parks and Recreation,” just to name a few.

Untitled, meanwhile, lists Jason Weinberg, Gene Parseghian, Johnnie Planco, Stephanie Simon and Guy Oseary as partners, and Simon Baker, David Caruso, Kristen Chenoweth, Penelope Cruz, Ashton Kutcher and Lindsay Lohan as clients.
