‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ Gets Its Mary Todd

“Live Free or Die Hard’s” Mary Elizabeth Winstead to co-star for director Timur Bekmanbetov

"Live Free or Die Hard's" Mary Elizabeth Winstead will take on the role of Honest Abe's wife in Fox's "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," TheWrap confirmed Thursday.

Winstead, who also played Ramona Flowers in last year's "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and Ingrid Superstar in the 2006 "Factory Girl," will play the troubled Mary Todd. Another not-household-name, Benjamin Walker, has been cast as the nation's 16th president.

In the movie, based on Seth Graham-Smith's bestselling novel, Lincoln spends much of the Civil War battling vampires rather than mortal rebels.

Dominic Cooper ("Mama Mia") and Anthony Mackie ("The Hurt Locker") also have been cast.

The film is being produced and directed by Timur Bekmambetov. Tim Burton and Jim Lemley also are producing the movie, which is scheduled for a June 22, 2012, release.
