‘Melania Trump’ Is Back on Colbert to Bash Ivana, Defend White House Christmas Decor (Video)

“Bye, b—-!”

Laura Benanti took a few minutes off from Broadway to reprise her Melania Trump character on Thursday’s “Late Show.”

Speaking with Stephen Colbert, the faux First Lady responded to some shots that President Trump’s first wife Ivana has been publicly firing her way. We think this Benanti quote best sums up Melania’s feelings toward the mother of Don Jr., Eric and Ivanka Trump: “Bye, b—-!”

Later, “Melania” defended her much-maligned White House Christmas decor — some of which she may use to finally escape all of this.

Citing Santa Claus as a true inspiration, Benanti’s character signed off with the following: “If you can come down a chimney to go into a house, then you can go up a chimney to get out of a house. I have gotten all the family Christmas stockings, and tied them into a rope! Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a goodbye!”
