Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate, Kristen Bell have signed on to star in an untitled comedy for STX Entertainment that was previously known as “Bad Moms,” TheWrap has learned.

“The Hangover” writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore will direct from their own screenplay. Suzanne Todd is producing with Bill Block.

Like most modern mothers, Amy (Kunis) takes care of everyone but herself.  Her life is perfect — a happy marriage, overachieving kids, a beautiful home, and 365 good-hair days a year. She bakes for the school bake sale and chairs every committee, all the while holding down a career. And, she makes it all look easy.

But just under the surface, Amy is at her breaking point — too over-worked, over-committed, and over-exhausted to take one more demand from anyone. Why work so hard for so little appreciation? What would happen if she did what she wanted for a change?

Fed up, Amy joins forces with two other over-stressed moms, leading them on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities, going on a wild un-mom like binge of freedom, fun and self-indulgence — accidentally landing on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her blindly devoted clique of “perfect” moms.

Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are masters at creating relatable characters that audiences instantly embrace, and then putting them in hilarious real-life situations for great comedic results,” said Oren Aviv, president and chief content officer of STX Entertainment.

“This film provides the rare opportunity for a half-dozen strong female lead roles, and we are thrilled to have assembled an exceptional cast led by Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate, Kristen Bell.  We can’t wait to start production and be part of the magic this team will bring to the screen.”

“Bad Moms” was previously set up at Paramount with Judd Apatow producing and Leslie Mann starring.
