The red band trailer for Seth MacFarlane‘s upcoming western comedy “A Million Ways to Die in the West” hit the web Wednesday, and it’s full of the gory cartoon violence and black humor that MacFarlane fans will love.
The Universal Pictures release is set in Arizona circa 1882, an ultra-dangerous place where frontiersmen are crushed from gigantic blocks of ice and burn to death during old-time photo shoots. MacFarlane stars as Albert, a cowardly sheep farmer who loses his girlfriend, Louise (Amanda Seyfried), to a mustachioed lothario played by Neil Patrick Harris.
Charlize Theron plays Anna, a gunslinger’s wife who helps Albert win back Louise by challenging the fiercest outlaw in the West (Liam Neeson). Giovanni Ribisi and Sarah Silverman also star in the movie, which will be released on May 30.
