‘Minions’ Happy Meal Toys Don’t Swear, McDonald’s Insists (Video)

Fast-food chain stands by its talking toys in light of recent complaints

The lovable yellow stars of “Minions” are many things, but foul-mouthed they are not.

At least that is the official word from fast food chain McDonald’s, which has fielded complaints from a number of parents saying that toys for the family film included in Happy Meals swear.

People have posted a number of videos to social media (see example below) in which they activate the toy’s speakerbox and it sounds like it is using some very un-family friendly phrases.

In particular, some customers say the problem lies with the minion Caveman. According to McDonald’s, the toy plays three sounds: “para la bukay,” “hahaha” and “eh eh.”

Yet despite the controversy, “Minions” is still poised to rake in the dough this weekend, with analysts projecting it will take in $100 million or more.

Watch the video and see what you think it sounds like.
