Miss Utah Does Not Win Miss USA, Wins Our Hearts? (Video)

Your 2013 Miss USA is Erin Brady from Connecticut, but your social media winner is the answer-flubbing entrant from Utah

Do not call it a beauty pageant. But whatever the competition is, the nation's new Miss USA is 25-year-old Erin Brady of South Glastonbury, Conn. Brady won a fancy crown and a New York apartment for one year on Sunday night.

Though Miss Connecticut won the title she didn't necessarily win the popularity contest — it was Miss Utah who grabbed the most attention on social media. And she sorta won some hearts, but probably for all the wrong reasons.

Powell scored really well in the competition right up until she had to open her mouth. While watching the video below, keep the question in mind: "A recent report shows that in 40 percent of American families with children, women are the primary earners. Yet they continue to earn less than men. What does this say about society?"

The answer was a bizarre, rambling comment on education and job creation — complete with a super long pause, some pity audience applause and a knowing nod from a checked-out Giuliana Rancic. One thing is for sure though — we do need to create education better, clearly.
