MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough criticized Donald Trump's senior advisor Stephen Miller on Monday morning, bashing his Sunday performance on various television spots as an "embarrassment."
After playing a clip of Miller visit to ABC's "This Week," both hosts appeared dumbfounded by Miller's remarks that the power of the president should not be questioned. "That's not even funny," Brzezinski said. "Oh my god," Scarborough gasped.
"[Trump's decisions] will be questioned my young, little Miller," he added. "They will be questioned by the Court. It's called judicial review. Alexander Hamilton and James Madison wrote about it in the Federalist Papers. It was enshrined in Madison's Constitution. It was enshrined in Madison's Constitution."
Scarborough continued: "You really need to go back and read the Constitution and seriously, the White House has got to stop embarrassing themselves by putting this guy on."
Miller appeared on numerous talk shows on Sunday to defend Trump's travel ban and criticize the court that ruled against it. Scarborough, who has had a bizarre on-again, off-again relationship with Trump throughout the last two years, said, "That was the worst performance out of anybody... that was horrendous."
Sunday night, Brzezinski offered a preview of the content for Monday's edition of the MSNBC morning show, tweeting, "The Steven Miller interviews this morning on all the Sunday shows were frightening!"
Scarborough went on to mock Miller repeatedly, saying his sort of talking and thinking will lead to Trump's impeachment.
"Maybe he's just stupid. Maybe he's just dumb. Maybe he's just ignorant and maybe I shouldn't be so tough on him," Scarborough said.
