On Tuesday, “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski aimed her fire on an familiar foe, Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Brzezinski took particular exception to Sanders’ defense of Donald Trump disparaging Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren as Pocahontas during a ceremony honoring World War II’s Navajo code talkers.
“When is there going to be a moment when she actually says the president misspoke? What’s wrong with her? Why does she do that job? How can she look in the mirror every day and say I am doing the right thing for the American people? You are not,” said Brzezinski in an impassioned monologue. “This is Kellyanne Conway territory. This is horrible. I’m not sorry. Go ahead Joe.”
Joe Scarborough’s attempt to opine was cut off as Brzezinski continued raging.
“That is unbelievable,” she went on to say. “This is our president and that is the spokesperson for the president of the United States, sitting there defending his racism, his bigoted language, his stupidity This is where we are.”
Then it looked done, but it wasn’t done.
“Sick. It’s sick. The whole thing is sick,” Brzezinski continued. “The whole relationship is sick. She’s taken the oath. I don’t know how you do it. You’re raising three children. Stop.”
Throughout the diatribe, Scarborough was speechless and wore the grin of a man who might be looking at a female incarnation of himself — something Brzezinski couldn’t help but point out.
“We’ve reversed roles,” she said.
