Move Over, Jeremy Meeks – This Toothy Suspect Is the New Hotness (Photo)

Burglary is no laughing matter, except maybe in this case

toothy suspect

If this doesn’t bring a smile to your face, we’re not sure what will.

An image of a suspect released by the Warwickshire Police in England this week left social-media wags with a collective grin on their faces this week, and with plenty of joke fodder.

Police released the image Tuesday, noting it was an “efit,” or composite image, of a robbery suspect.

“We’ve issued an efit for of a suspect in a distraction burglary in Stratford in February. If you have any information please contact us,” police tweeted.

Observers couldn’t help but notice the oversized grin given to the suspect and weighed in on the jarring composite image.

“I think I recognize the guy in that Warwickshire police efit,” posted one joker, along with side-by-side images of the suspect and a similarly toothy character from “The Banana Splits Adventure Hour.”

“Well he won’t go unnoticed,” went another observation.

Actor and noted conservative James Woods also felt the need to weigh in, joking, “He also may have stolen a box of Chiclets….”

The mockery was so widespread that the Warwickshire Police subsequently felt compelled to vouch for the authenticity of the image, and that, yeah, they knew it would get people’s attention.

“We can confirm that this is real and that we anticipated the attention! But jokes aside, it was created from a description provided and it’s serious as a woman was victim of a horrible crime,” the department wrote. “Hopefully the attention will mean we identify the offender/bring him to justice quicker.”
