‘Mr. Robot,’ ‘Monday Night Raw’ Carry USA to Summer Demo Ratings Win

TNT leads pack in total viewers

USA Network has claimed victory in the summer cable ratings race.

The network averaged 779,000 primetime viewers in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic from June through August. Discovery, TBS, TNT and Fox followed in Nielsen most-current ratings–live viewing plus seven days of playback, with three days of playback for the two most recent weeks.

USA original series “Mr. Robot,” which ended its freshman series Wednesday night, averaged 1.4 million viewers 18-49 through the end of August, making it third highest rated new scripted basic cable drama of the year thus far. “WWE Monday Night Raw” averaged 1.8 million viewers in the demo for the network.

In total viewers, TNT led the pack, averaging 1.99 million, ahead of Fox News Channel, USA, Disney Channel, and HGTV.

USA also led all other cable networks in viewers 25-54, averaging 843,000 viewers, beating out Discovery, . In the 18-34 demo, USA edged out Adult Swim with 367,000 viewers.
