Emotions ran high after a Pennsylvania jury on Thursday found Bill Cosby guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.

One sign: According to MSNBC correspondent Kate Snow, some unnamed accusers of the disgraced star want him to face the death penalty.

“There are various opinions on this, right. There are a lot of different women with a lot of different thoughts,” said Snow in a phone interview, shortly after the verdicts were announced. “Some of them want to see him rot in jail for ever, they told me. Some of them actually mentioned death for Bill Cosby.”

Snow did not name the women who had expressed a desire for capital punishment in the case; more than 60 women have stepped forward to accuse the 80-year-old sitcom star of sexual misconduct or assault.

On Thursday, a 12-person jury convicted Cosby of three felony counts related to accusations by former Temple University employee Andrea Constand that the comedian drugged and molested her in 2004 at his home outside of Philadelphia.

The judge allowed Cosby to be released on bail, which CNN reports was in the amount of $1 million. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

Last summer, an earlier trial on the same charges ended in a hung jury.

In the second trial, jurors were able to hear from multiple other accusers who told very similar stories to Constand’s about Cosby’s behavior toward them — including celebrities like supermodel Janice Dickinson.

Once one of America’s most beloved television stars, Bill Cosby’s public image collapsed in the last few years as dozens of allegations of sexual assault began filtering out in the media. The accusations stretched back decades.
