The Muppets Spoof ‘Adele Dazeem’ in TV Promo (Video)

Disney made use of John Travolta’s flub of their “Frozen” star Idina Menzel’s name

Sure, it was first posted a few weeks ago, but the joke never gets old.

In their continuous quest to stay atop and ahead of pop culture, The Muppets — well, Disney, on their behalf — have started clothing lines, goof on football, and even went on the “Tonight Show.” Though it went under the radar for a while, it turns out that they also showed a snarky and internet-literate side, with an early March TV spot for “Muppets Most Wanted” that cited one Adele Dazeem.

That, of course, is the jumbled name that John Travolta accidentally called “Frozen” star Idina Menzel when he was introducing her performance of the ubiquitous hit, “Let It Go.” Since Disney made “Frozen,” it seems only fair that they take a little poke.

Then again, they weren’t the only ones to have fun with the screw up; Menzel’s Broadway show, “If/Then,” put “Adele Dazeem” up on the marquee, and in the program for one of their practice runs.
