“Glee” star Mark Salling’s arrest on possession of child pornography charges last year might have stunned his fans, but it didn’t come as too much of a surprise to at least one person: Salling’s former co-star and girlfriend, Naya Rivera.

“I can’t say I was totally shocked, but still — WTF?” Rivera wrote in her new memoir, “Sorry Not Sorry” (via People).

“My son’s nanny actually told me about it when the story broke,” the actress wrote in the book. “Then I had no doubt that God really did have my back along the way.”

According to Rivera, Salling split with her after three years in 2010 on the advice of his publicist. Though she initially thought that the dumping was “the worst thing ever,” the actress eventually came to regard it as a blessing in disguise.

“[C]an you imagine if that didn’t happen?” Rivera wrote. “And I was laying there in bed when the battering ram came through the door?”

Salling, who played Puck on the Fox series, was arrested in December by the LAPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and charged with two counts of receiving and possessing pornographic images of minors.

The actor, who was released on $150,000 bail, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
