Neil Young Performs Duet With Jimmy Fallon, Performing as Neil Young (Video)

“Tonight Show” host’s recurring impression of the singer takes a surreal turn when the real Neil Young joins him on “Old Man”

At first it seemed like just another “Tonight Show” performance by Jimmy Fallon dressed up as one of his favorite artists. Steve Higgins introduced Neil Young, and then Fallon started performing “Old Man” dressed like the iconic singer.

For the Los Angeles audience, this was exciting enough. Fallon has proven himself a master impersonator, and his Neil Young impression is easily one of his best. But then things took a surreal turn when he was joined onstage by another man dressed almost exactly the same.

It was the real Neil Young.

With Young as a direct comparison, Fallaon’s impersonation was even more impressive. The pair even performed parts of “Old Man” as a duet in near-perfect harmony.

It was reminiscent of Fallon’s performance as Bruce Springsteen, during which he was joined by the real Boss, with both men dressed in Springsteen’s classic 1980s “Born in the U.S.A.” style.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
