Netflix will produce a new holiday musical “Jingle Jangle,” which will be written, directed and produced by David E. Talbert.
In the pitch that Netflix purchased, “Jingle Jangle” tells the tale of an embattled toymaker, his precocious granddaughter, and a magical invention, that if they can get it to work in time for the holidays, could change their lives forever. Lyn Sisson-Talbert and Brillstein Entertainment Partners will produce with Talbert.
Talbert’s most recent film, “El Camino Christmas,” which stars Luke Grimes, Tim Allen, Vincent D’Onofrio, Dax Shepard, and Jessica Alba will debut on Netflix on December 8. He is also developing a half-hour comedy for ABC with LeBron James and Gabrielle Union attached as producers. Last year, his film “Almost Christmas” grossed $42.5 million at the box office.
Talbert is repped by UTA and Brillstein Entertainment
