‘Jessica Jones’ Gets Netflix Premiere Date and First Teaser Trailer (Video)

Marvel series stars Krysten Ritter as superhero turned private eye

“Jessica Jones,” Netflix’s newest Marvel series, received an official premiere date on Thursday, along with the first teaser trailer.

The private eye drama will premiere 13 one-hour episodes on November 20, 2015 at 12:01am PT in all territories where Netflix is available.

The show is the second of four live-action adventure series, which began with “Daredevil,” and will continue with “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist,” all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in “The Defenders.”

The show stars Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. After a tragic ending to her short-lived superhero stint, Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City.

The show also stars David Tennant as villain Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval, among others.

“Jessica Jones” is executive produced by series showrunner Melissa Rosenberg and Liz Friedman, along with Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of television.
