New England Patriots fans won’t be able to watch Rob Gronkowski on the field during Super Bowl LI in Houston Feb. 5 due to his back surgery, but they will be able to watch him on a new “Shark Tank”-style show on Verizon go90 launching Wednesday.

The star NFL tight end acts as host and producer on “MVP,” in which business owners and entrepreneurs pitch their products or services to a panel of VIP athletes who weigh in with their expert opinion.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, NFL Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk, Triple Crown-winning jockey Victor Espinoza, Olympic softball gold medalist Jennie Finch, Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay, and former NFL star Terrell Owens join Gronk on the 18-part series, which was filmed last summer.

The show allows entrepreneurs to widen awareness of their brands by presenting their product or service to the panel, all of whom possess unique business acumen.

“Start-ups, small businesses, even the 800lb gorillas know that it’s never easy to get your company noticed in the ocean of brands,” the show’s description states. “On ‘MVP’ is our up-n-coming entrepreneurs are looking for their big break with their most valuable partner and our panel of all-star athletes is looking for an opportunity to get in as a brand ambassador for an emerging business.”

Among the products they get pitched is Gamevice; a mobile gaming console you can sync up with the latest iOS device from Apple; Everything Decorated, creating personalized gifts for every occasion, from pocketknives to bridesmaid presents; and Gronk Fitness, elite gym products and training programs designed by former NFL players Dan and Gordie Gronkowski. (No surprise, Gronk loved this one!).

The first episode of the 18-episode series premiere Wednesday, Jan. 25, with a new episode available every Wednesday for free on go90.com or the go90 app, available for iOS and Android.

go90 is a free streaming service with brand-new shows, original series and live sports– at your fingertips.
