New ‘Footloose’ Trailer: No Kenny Loggins, But Plenty of Exploding-Bus Action (Video)

The tale of a big-city boy who teaches a rural town to dance — and blows stuff up real good

The new "Footloose" trailer appears to be several degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon.

Director Craig Brewer's take on the 1984 cinematic classic "Footloose" hits theaters on October 14, and judging from the new sneak peek at the revamp, things have changed quite a bit since Bacon first strapped on the dance shoes.

This time out, newcomer Kenny Wormald plays the big-city boy who blows into an uptight rural town and teaches them to dance again. Except now, for some reason, the lesson in arts appreciation includes a hellish conflagration created by exploding school buses.

Little difficult to get in a dancing mood with that kind of action going on, really…
