New York Writer and CNN Contributor Ryan Lizza: Trump ‘Just Makes Sh– Up’ (Video)

The esteemed journalist let loose on the set of “Anderson Cooper 360”

Things took a salty turn on the set of CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” Monday evening. While Cooper and the gang were discussing the latest Trump outrage, CNN contributor and New Yorker writer Ryan Lizza couldn’t help swearing on set.

“This president, on a daily basis, he just makes sh– up. He lies,” said Lizza. “Why is that? Why is he so different from previous presidents, that just, when he gets a question like that from a journalist, his immediate thing is just to make something up, and then when he’s presented with the facts, he just says ‘Oh, somebody told me that.’

The moment was sparked by President’s Trump’s claim yesterday during an impromptu press conference with Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell that Barack Obama didn’t call the families of fallen soldiers — a claim that is manifestly false.

“If you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn’t make calls, Trump said. “A lot of them didn’t make calls. I like to call when it’s appropriate.”

Lizza’s coverage of White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci’s profanity laced tirades led to his departure from the West Wing after only 11 days on the job.
