Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell Get a Visitor From Hell in New ‘Killing of a Sacred Deer’ Trailer (Video)

“The Lobster” director Yorgos Lanthimos is back with a thriller

Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell get a visitor from hell in the new trailer for Yorgos Lanthimos’ “The Killing of a Sacred Deer.”

In the trailer, a teenage boy named Martin (Barry Keoghan) comes knocking on the door of Kidman and Farrell’s house. Farrell’s character, a surgeon named Steven, takes him under his wing, but things quickly turn sinister.

“They will all get sick and die,” Martin tells Steven, and later, Martin tells his wife,  “He’s got issues — serious, psychological issues.”

The latest film from Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, who most recently directed the indie hit “The Lobster,” made a splash at the Cannes Film Festival this year. It was one of two winners of Best Screenplay (tied with the Joaquin Phoenix thriller “You Were Never Really Here”). Also, like many of Lanthimos’ films, it garnered some boos.

The film also stars Alicia Silverstone, Raffey Cassidy and Bill Camp.

Farrell and Kidman recently co-starred in Sofia Coppola’s “The Beguiled,” which also starred Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning. It won the Best Director award at Cannes.

“The Killing of a Sacred Deer” will hit theaters Oct. 20.
