New York City Subway Bombing Captured on Camera? (Video)

MSNBC showed footage on the air. Here it is

MSNBC has obtained and aired footage of what appeared to be the attempted bombing near New York City’s Port Authority bus terminal on Monday. You can see it above.

“We believe this is the video of the explosion,” said MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle as the grainy footage played. “It allegedly shows the moment of the explosion. You can see people walking up and down a corridor to and from the train when a blast of smoke goes off.”

“It was intentionally detonated,” she added.

The explosion appears to have been a failed terrorist attack, police said. It resulted in only minor injuries to four people, including the suspect, who is now in custody and is being treated at the city’s Bellevue Hospital, MSNBC said.

“When we hear of an attack in the subways, it’s incredibly unsettling,” Mayor Bill de Blasio told reporters. “And let’s also be clear, this was an attempted terrorist attack. Thank God the perpetrator did not achieve his ultimate goals.”

In an appearance on MSNBC, NYPD commissioner Bill Bratton said the suspect was believed to be from Bangladesh, in his mid-2os and “supposedly setting the device off in the name of ISIS.”
