‘Orphan Black’ Releases First Season 3 Trailer (Video)

The BBC original series returns April 18

BBC America released the first full trailer for Season 3 of the sci-fi drama series “Orphan Black” on Monday.

Starring Tatiana Maslany in multiple roles, Season 3 plunges the clone sisterhood, Project Leda, into unexpected territory with the realization that they’re not alone.

After neutralizing the threat by the DYAD Institute, clones Sarah, Helena, Cosima and Alison (all played by Maslany) are finally united in their journey towards the truth of who and what they are. But new discoveries, including Helena’s kidnapping, a book that could contain the answers to their existence and the discovery of a set of treacherous male clones, will test how tight their new bonds are.

No sooner has Sarah caught her breath after a stealthy escape from DYAD and the ruthless clone Rachel (Maslany), she is called upon to face the captive Castor clone, Rudy (Ari Millen). But the discovery of Helena’s disappearance really spurs Sarah to action, rallying her sisters in the quest to reunite their clone family and find peace once and for all.

Co-created by Graeme Manson and John Fawcett, with Manson also serving as writer and Fawcett as director, the Peabody Award-winning drama is produced by Temple Street Productions in association with BBC America and Bell Media’s SPACE.

“Orphan Black” returns Saturday, April 18, 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.
