June Squibb was charming enough during her interview with Ryan Seacrest, but then Jared Leto had to come and turn the whole situation into one of the highlights of the early evening.

Leto, who is the frontrunner for Best Supporting Actor for his role in “Dallas Buyers Club,” joined Squibb, who is up for Best Supporting Actress for “Nebraska,” and dropped a real bombshell: “Put rumors to rest: We are indeed dating,” he said. “And it’s great! I have been having fun, I hope she is too.”
“Oh, I’m having a wonderful time,” Squibb said, beaming and adding with a bit of a tease, “But our evening in Santa Barbara was great.”

Squibb, at 84, is double Leto’s age, but the two did have fantastic chemistry as they discussed their awards season interactions. So hey, we’re rooting for those two crazy kids.
