Ellen DeGeneres devoted her monologue on her daytime talk show Friday to explaining the plot of every Best Picture nominee that has a chance to win an Oscar on Sunday.
First up was “The Big Short.” While the movie deals with serious financial issues, DeGeneres said the best reason to see the movie is because “Ryan Gosling is shirtless.”
And then there’s “Mad Max: Fury Road.” “This movie stars Charlize Theron and she’s a woman who went a little too crazy with eyeliner,” DeGeneres said.
If you’re in the mood to cry your eyes out for several weeks, DeGeneres recommends you check out either “Room” or “Spotlight.”
DeGenres closed out the segment by giving her audience a sneak peek of the sequel to the Matt Damon movie “The Martian,” titled “Stuck on Uranus.”
