Phase 4 Films Seals Financing Deal With Aver Media Finance (Exclusive)

The new funds will be used to expand Phase 4's content acquisitions and distribution pipeline

Phase 4 Films has closed multimillion dollar financing deal with Aver Media Finance, which is part of BMO Financial Group.

The new funds will be used to provide additional resources to expand Phase 4's content acquisitions and distribution pipeline.

Phase 4 has grown the last three years without any new outside capital. Having access to financing, coupled with the expertise of Aver Media Finance and BMO Financial Group, will allow the company to propel the expansion of their business by securing additional opportunities across all media platforms.

Phase 4 is a full-service indie studio with offices in nine cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. The company's recent releases include "The Baytown Outlaws" starring Eva Longoria and Billy Bob Thornton, and "Generation Um" starring Keanu Reeves.

It also made a splash at Cannes, acquiring U.S. and Canadian rights to the Anna Paquin movie "Free Ride," the sci-fi thriller "The Philosophers" and Lucy Walker's Sundance documentary "The Crash Reel."

Additionally, Phase 4's kids and family label kaboom! Entertainment releases episodic properties such as "Max & Ruby," as well as animated features including "The True Story of Puss ‘N Boots."

Established in 2006, Aver Media Finance is a global media financier that works closely with producers and distributors of film and television. The company, which became a part of BMO Financial Group in April, is responsible for representing more than $2 billion in financed productions, mainly in the U.S., UK, Canada and Australia.
