USA has renewed the comedy series “Playing House” for a third season.
The network announced the renewal Thursday at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour. The series stars comics Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham.
“Playing House” Season 2 was released on video-on-demand prior to its premiere on USA and was the subject of a sponsorship deal that features integrations with brands such as Samsung, Toyota and Comcast.
Comcast and NBCUniversal — parent companies of USA and producer Universal Cable Productions — plan to pursue a similar release strategy and sponsorship plan for Season 3.
St. Clair and Parham serve as executive producers with Ravi Nandan of A24 Films and Scot Armstrong of American Work, Inc.
