Practically everyone wants to see Dre (Rotimi Akinosho) from “Power” killed off, but Akinosho has already started taking precautions to make sure his character isn’t snuffed any time soon.
The 28-year-old actor uploaded a video to his social media account showing him indulging in a face mask, sipping on a green smoothie and speaking in a Nigerian accent about how he plans on keeping Dre alive.
“I also had a conversation with Mr. 50 cent and he said the people want Dre to die,” Akinosho said. “Is it because he’s sexy? Why do they want him to die?”
According to Akinosho, fellow “Power” star 50 Cent told him that in order to survive, he needs to be sexy.
“He said if you want to survive this show you have to be sexy, so I’m drinking greens from the Earth, I’m drinking greens from the Earth because I don’t want to die,” the artist said. “I’m a survivor baby.”
It’s understandable that Akinosho would be up next on the chopping block because he was extra shady on Season 4 of “Power.” The finale even ended with James “Ghost” St. Patrick, Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) and Kanan (50 Cent) back together all with one mission in mind — kill Dre.
