Samantha Bee scored her first interview with President Barack Obama on Halloween, and asked him to tell her a scary story, which was pretty easy for the outgoing leader of the free world.
“Donald Trump could be President,” Obama said, encouraging young people to get out and vote for Hillary Clinton on Nov. 8.
“This is probably the most important election of our lifetimes,” he continued. “The choices could not be clearer. And if we want to build on progress on issues like climate change and gender equality and making sure that everybody has health care and making sure that young people have a good education and can afford college, they’ve got to make sure their voices are heard.”
Bee also had some fun at the President’s expense, asking if his prematurely grey hair was “white spray paint or fun Halloween cobwebs.” Obama replied, “Sam, I’m still the President for about three months. Careful.”
She then asked Obama if he has considered pranking Trump after he leaves the Oval Office by whispering in the GOP candidate’s ear that he was right all along and he was not in fact born in the United States.
“I think it’s fair to say I will be organizing my post-presidency to where I’m not close enough to him to whisper in his ear,” Obama said.
