President Barack Obama’s half brother, Malik, has revealed some surprising political leanings, saying he plans to vote for Republican nominee Donald Trump — and not Hillary Clinton.

“I like Donald Trump because he speaks from the heart,” Malik Obama told the New York Post while being interviewed at his home in the rustic village of Kogelo in Kenya.

The 58-year-old, who used to work in Maryland, said he plans to travel back to the U.S. to cast his Trump vote.

“Make America Great Again is a great slogan,” Malik Obama said. “I would like to meet him.”

President Obama’s half brother is a longtime Democrat, according to the Post. But, he said, he decided to switch to “the party of Lincoln” after FBI Director James Comey advised against prosecuting Clinton for using private email servers during her service as U.S. Secretary of State.

Another count against the Democrats: Malik is against same-sex marriage. “I feel like a Republican now because they don’t stand for same-sex marriage, and that appeals to me,” he said.

Trump capitalized on the moment, tweeting a photo of Malik wearing a hat with his campaign slogan emblazoned on it:

Malik Obama also expressed “deep disappointment,” blaming Obama’s administration — including Clinton — for the death of Libyan leader Muammar el-Qaddafi — whom Malik called one of his best friends. (Though the late Middle East leader died at the hands of Libyan forces.)
